Arthroscopic Onlay Biceps Tenodesis Utilizing 2 Knotless All-Suture Anchors

چکیده
Background: Tenodesis is an effective surgical technique for the management of a pathologic long head biceps tendon. performed with either onlay (tendon opposed to cortical surface) or inlay docked into reamed intra-cortical tunnel). Both techniques can be from subpectoral location, which typically done through open approach, suprapectoral arthroscopically. The arthroscopic when compared its counterpart, has been shown report similar patient outcomes and complication rates. Indications: Arthroscopic tenodesis most commonly indicated in patients undergoing treatment anterior shoulder pain tendonitis, often associated concomitant pathology. Less common indications include superior labrum posterior tears as well tendon subluxation dislocations. Patients ruptured proximal tendons are contraindicated, too distal management. Technique Description: identified arthroscopically within bicipital groove, just pectoralis major border. Suprapectoral then utilizing 2 knotless suture anchors fixation. Results: Patient-reported following literature have found excellent minimal complications. Despite current being inconclusive regarding optimal site fixation, procedure minimizes risk infection, cosmetic deformity, neurovascular injury that seen approach. In addition, use fixation traditionally avoided humeral fracture Discussion/Conclusion: This benefit time-efficient easily reproducible safely injuries. historically provided strong patient-reported outcomes. متن کاملArthroscopic Posterior Glenoid Fracture Fixation Using Knotless Suture Anchors
Shoulder instability after a posterior glenoid rim fracture is rare and potentially difficult pathology to treat. Operative techniques often involve a large dissection to view the fragments resulting in local soft tissue injury. Internal fixation is often achieved with interfragmentary screws; however, this may not be possible with small or multifragmentary fracture patterns. We describe an art...
متن کاملArthroscopic biceps tenodesis.
Arthroscopic biceps tenodesis is indicated for the treatment of severe biceps tendonopathy, partial- or full-thickness tendon tears, or biceps instability typically associated with rotator cuff tear, although there has been considerable debate on tenotomy versus tenodesis. We advocate tenodesis, for the following reasons: to re-establish the resting muscle length so as to avoid scaring and spas...
متن کاملAn All-Arthroscopic, Length-Tensioned Suprapectoral Biceps Tenodesis Technique
Biceps tenodesis remains a popular choice for treating anterior shoulder pain in the setting of primary biceps tendinitis or biceps pain due to concomitant glenohumeral joint pathology. A variety of surgical approaches and fixation construct options are available for biceps tenodesis. The advantages of an all-arthroscopic biceps tenodesis include anatomic maintenance of the length-tension relat...
متن کاملPullout strength of knotless suture anchors.
PURPOSE Suture anchors are used consistently for repairs of soft tissues, especially around the glenohumeral joint. These anchors can be used either arthroscopically or in an open procedure to anatomically restore the labrum and capsular tissues to the glenoid after avulsion injuries (Bankart lesion). The purpose of this study was to analyze the pullout strength of a new knotless suture anchor ...
